Safety Information
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 or over) who intends to directly supervise them in the Waterpark.
- Children under 5 years of age must have an adult (18 or over) within arms reach at all times.
- State law prohibits glass bottles or containers. Coolers, cans, and other carry-in food or beverage is also prohibited.
- Groups bringing children to the Waterpark must have at least one adult per every 5 children and are responsible for the supervision of those children.
- Swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are on duty.
- Lined bathing suits are required. No cut offs, shorts with rivets, buckles or zippers are permitted.
- All floatation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved. No water wings or inflatable devices are permitted.
- Those that are not yet toilet trained must wear swim diapers. Diapers must be changed in restrooms only.
- Please place personal items in a locker. Fort Rapids is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Running, rough play and inappropriate conduct is not permitted.
- Diving is not permitted anywhere in the Waterpark.
- Additional rules may vary from attraction to attraction and are posted at each location.
Kiddie Korral
- Activity pool is reserved for children 12 and under accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Do not hang from pull ropes or climb on water toys.
- Caution: Maximum water depth is 2'0".
Slides
- One rider at a time may go down slides. Next rider must wait for the previous to be clear of the landing area.
- Riders must go down sitting and feet first.
- No stopping, changing positions, or forming chains.
- All loose articles must be secured. T-shirts, shorts and cover ups are not permitted on slides.
Rascal Round Up
- Adult must supervise children under 6.
- No running in or around the Rain Fortress.
- The water bucket dumps over 1500 gallons of water. Use caution when standing directly under the bucket area.
- Do not hang from pull ropes or climb on water toys.
- Caution: Floor slopes towards structure.
Slides
- Children must be at least 40 inches tall to ride.
- One rider at a time may go down slides. Next rider must wait for signal from dispatcher before going down.
- Secure all loose articles and remove any footwear and excessive jewelry prior to riding. T-shirts, shorts and cover ups are not permitted on slides.
- Riders must go down sitting and feet first.
- No stopping, changing positions, or forming chains.
Cowboy Creek
- Use of lazy river is restricted to persons 40" and taller. Persons must be able to swim unassisted to the exit.
- Riders must remain in tubes at all times.
- One rider per single tube and 2 riders sitting in correct position in double tubes.
- Travel in the direction of current only. Rough play and splashing is not permitted.
- Caution: The maximum water depth is 2' 6".
Activity Pool
- No running, jumping, or diving.
- Do not shoot basketballs from outside the pool or designated area. Do not dunk basketballs or hang on the rims.
- Caution: The maximum water depth is 4' 0".
Perilous Promenade
- One person allowed on the pad walk at a time.
- Riders must be 54" tall.
- Do not stand on the floats. Excessive tipping or rocking is also prohibited.
- Climbing back onto the pad walk after falling off is not allowed. Please swim to the nearest exit.
Raging Bull & Ambush Alley
- Riders must be 48 inches tall to ride.
- Floatation devices are not permitted to be worn while riding slide.
- Single riders may ride in a single inner tube or in the rear of a double inner tube. Double riders must use a double inner tube with the lighter of the two seated in front. Maximum weight not to exceed 400 lbs per tube.
- Secure all loose articles and remove any footwear and excessive jewelry prior to riding. Ride will not be stopped in search of lost belongings.
- Remain seated in the hole, facing forward, and grasping the handles throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, or forming chains is not permitted.
- Exit splash pool quickly taking tube with you.
- Next rider must wait for signal from dispatcher before starting ride.
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to ride.
- Caution: The maximum water depth is 3' 6".
Splash pool
- Do not block the end of the slide.
- Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly.
- No swimming allowed in the splash pool.
Black Out Pass
- Riders must be 48 inches tall to ride.
- Floatation devices are not permitted to be worn while riding slide.
- Riders must ride in a single inner tube and double riders in double tube. Maximum weight not to exceed 400 lbs per tube.
- Secure all loose articles and remove any footwear and excessive jewelry prior to riding. Ride will not be stopped in search of lost belongings.
- Remain seated in the hole, facing forward, and grasping the handles throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, or forming chains is not permitted.
- Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
- Next rider must wait for signal from dispatcher before starting the ride.
- Exit splash pool quickly taking tube with you.
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to ride.
- Caution: The maximum water depth is 3' 6".
Splash pool
- Do not block the end of the slide.
- Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly.
- No swimming allowed in the splash pool.
Shoot Out Racer
- Riders must be 42 inches tall to ride.
- Floatation devices are not permitted to be worn while riding slide.
- Single riders must ride on water mat.
- Secure all loose articles and remove any footwear or excessive jewelry prior to riding. Ride will not be stopped in search of lost belongings.
- Remain on mat lying on your stomach, facing forward, and grasping handles of the mat throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, or forming chains is not permitted.
- Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
- Next rider must wait for signal from dispatcher before starting ride.
- Exit run out quickly taking the mat with you.
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to ride.
- Caution: Ride exits in a slide run out. Surface may be slippery.
Run out Lane
- Do not block the end of the slide.
- Leave the run out lane quickly and orderly.
- No swimming or flotation devices allowed in the run out lane.
Whirlpool
- Reserved for guests 18 and older.
- Do not use alone.
- Do not use at water temperatures greater than 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Proper swimming attire is required.
- Elderly guests, pregnant women, and guests with heart conditions or diabetes should not enter the hot tub without prior medical consent and permission from their doctor.
- Guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to use whirlpool.
- Observe reasonable time limits (10-15 min.). Long repetitive use may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting.
Ellis & Associates Certified Lifeguards - In an ongoing effort to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, Fort Rapids has partnered with Jeff Ellis & Associates (E&A), a private, outside consulting firm specializing in aquatic risk management. To keep our standards and practices at the highest levels possible, Fort Rapids will typically do a number of drills and skills tests during hours of operation. In addition to this, Ellis & Associates will perform four unannounced operational audits per year at each facility, testing them in areas of professionalism, diligence in scanning techniques and rescue skills, as well as their ability to manage an aquatic emergency.
